Team USA hockey stars Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, known as the modern-day Bash Brothers, have significantly impacted the perception of American hockey. Matthew, a forward with the Florida Panthers, and Brady, the captain of the Ottawa Senators, recently joined forces to represent their home country in the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
Coming from a hockey-centric family, both brothers hail from Scottsdale, Arizona, where their father, Keith Tkachuk, played for the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes. Their journey in the sport began in St. Louis after their father joined the Blues in 2001. Matthew and Brady have taken unique paths to the NHL, with Matthew being drafted 6th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2016 NHL Draft and later winning a Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers in 2024. Brady, drafted 4th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2018, also captained Team USA.
