Teen Charged With Murder of 3 Children Sentenced After Stabbing at Taylor Swift-Themed Dance Class
The teenager charged with murder following a stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the U.K. has been sentenced. Eighteen-year-old Axel Rudakubana was sentenced to 52 years in prison, according to the Associated Press.
Judge Julian Goose had called the incident “the most extreme, shocking and exceptionally serious crime.” Goose further said that Rudakubana couldn’t be sentenced to life without parole since he was under 18 at the time of the crime.
A mass stabbing took place at a Swift-themed dance and yoga class in Southport, England in July 2024. Local police arrested Rudakubana, who was 17, that same month and charged him with murder after three children died. More were injured.
