Students affected by anti-Israel campus protests witness the positive outcomes of Trump-brokered Abraham Accords

American College Students Witness Success of Abraham Accords During Visit to Israel and UAE

Dozens of American college students recently traveled to Israel and the United Arab Emirates over winter break to witness the successful implementation of the historic Abraham Accords. Amid ongoing campus tensions in the U.S. and the Israel conflict, these students participated in a 10-day trip organized by the Israel on Campus Coalition’s Geller International Fellowship.

The students had the opportunity to meet with business leaders, academics, and political figures, experiencing Middle Eastern culture firsthand. They also discussed the significance of the Abraham Accords, brokered during President Donald Trump’s administration in 2020. One student, Eden Yadegar from Columbia University, emphasized the importance of peace and coexistence, especially in today’s challenging campus environment.

The Abraham Accords, a groundbreaking peace agreement between Israel and the UAE, paved the way for diplomatic relations and mutual recognition. Leaders from the three countries hailed this agreement as a historic achievement that would foster peace and cooperation in the region.

During the fellowship, students engaged with experts and thought leaders to explore entrepreneurship, coexistence, diplomacy, and peacebuilding in the Middle East post-Accords. The program aims to empower future pro-Israel leaders and strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship.

The trip provided students with valuable insights into the complexities of the region and instilled a renewed sense of purpose in advocating for Israel on college campuses. Participants expressed optimism about the potential for peace and prosperity in the Middle East.

As student protests and anti-Israel sentiments continue to rise on campuses, initiatives like the Geller International Fellowship play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of leaders committed to promoting peace and understanding. By supporting programs that reinforce the principles of the Abraham Accords, sponsors like Martin and Lauren Geller are investing in a brighter future for U.S.-Israel relations.

Looking ahead, there is a growing emphasis on expanding the Abraham Accords to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East. As the political landscape evolves, it remains a top priority for leaders to continue building upon the success of this historic agreement.
