What’s Happening Tonight?
Last week, we asked you to choose between Cubs catchers Miguel Amaya and Carson Kelly for the better season in 2025. The majority voted for Amaya, but Kelly is also expected to shine in Chicago this season.
Tonight, we’re diving into the world of music and movies. We’re featuring a live performance by the Robert Glasper Trio from Brazil in 2009, blending Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage” with Radiohead’s “Everything in its Right Place.”
And don’t forget to vote in our BCB Winter Hitchcock Classic matchup between Psycho and To Catch a Thief.
Psycho (1960)
Psycho is one of Alfred Hitchcock’s most iconic films, known for its groundbreaking storytelling and infamous shower scene. The movie redefined cinema and set new standards for suspense and horror.
Starring Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, John Gavin, and Janet Leigh, Psycho continues to captivate audiences with its masterful direction and unforgettable performances.
From the innovative use of music to the shocking plot twists, Psycho remains a timeless masterpiece that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
To Catch a Thief (1955)
To Catch a Thief may be a lighter Hitchcock film, but it shines with its beautiful visuals, charming leads Cary Grant and Grace Kelly, and elegant storytelling set against the backdrop of the French Riviera.
While the film may lack depth, its style and glamour make it a delightful watch that showcases the allure of classic Hollywood cinema.
Should the Cubs Trade for Ryan Pressly?
As the Cubs look to bolster their bullpen, the possibility of trading for Astros’ reliever Ryan Pressly is on the table. With his experience and talent, Pressly could be a valuable addition, but the cost and his age are factors to consider.
Cast your vote on whether the Cubs should make a move for Pressly and share your thoughts on the potential trade.
Thank you for joining us at BCB After Dark tonight. Stay tuned for more engaging discussions and entertainment tomorrow night. Have a safe journey home, stay warm, and remember to recycle. See you soon!
