Release Date Set for Austin Butler’s Caught Stealing, Insidious 6 Delayed

Sony Pictures has recently announced its release schedule for upcoming projects, including a film directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Austin Butler. The film, titled “Caught Stealing,” is set to hit theaters on August 29. The story follows Hank Thompson, played by Butler, a former baseball player who gets caught up in the crime underworld of 1990s New York City. The cast also includes Zoë Kravitz, Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Matt King, and Bad Bunny.

In other news, the release of “Insidious 6” has been delayed. Originally scheduled for August 29, 2025, the film will now premiere on August 21, 2026. The previous installment in the series, “Insidious: The Red Door,” directed by Patrick Wilson, was released in 2023 and performed well at the global box office.

Additionally, an untitled Marvel movie that was slated for June 27, 2025, has been removed from the calendar. The future of Sony’s Marvel projects is uncertain following the lackluster performance of 2024 releases “Madame Web” and “Kraven the Hunter.”

Stay tuned for more updates on these and other upcoming projects.
