Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada Set to Star in Broadway’s Cabaret

Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada to Join Cast of Broadway’s Cabaret

The Tony-nominated revival of John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Joe Masteroff’s Cabaret will welcome Orville Peck and Eva Noblezada to the cast later this year. Peck will take on the role of the Emcee, while Noblezada will portray Sally Bowles at the KitKat Club in the August Wilson Theatre.

Peck, known for his country music, will make his Broadway debut after releasing successful albums like Pony and Bronco. On the other hand, Noblezada, a two-time Tony nominee, is best known for her performances in Miss Saigon and Hadestown.

Both actors expressed their excitement about joining Cabaret. Peck shared, "The Emcee has been my dream role since I was a teenager… I truly cannot believe I’m getting to make my Broadway debut in one of my favorite shows and in probably my favorite role in all of musical theatre." Noblezada added, "Sally Bowles to me is simply fascinating… I am ready to be as submissive as possible to the iconic world that is Cabaret."

Director Rebecca Frecknall praised the incoming cast members, stating, "Orville brings such theatricality to his own musical performance… It’s going to be exciting to see him become a part of our production." She also commended Noblezada’s talent, calling her "truly one of theater’s great leading ladies."

The Broadway production of Cabaret also features Bebe Neuwirth, Calvin Leon Smith, Steven Skybell, Henry Gottfried, and Michelle Aravena in key roles.

Audiences can expect a unique experience at Cabaret, as the theatre has been transformed into an in-the-round Kit Kat Club. Ticket holders will enjoy pre-show performances and optional dinner experiences before the show begins.

Based on Goodbye to Berlin by Christopher Isherwood, Cabaret tells the story of American writer Clifford Bradshaw and English cabaret performer Sally Bowles in the vibrant nightlife of Weimar-era Berlin, against the backdrop of rising Nazi power and impending war.

The creative team behind Cabaret includes renowned choreographer Julia Cheng, set and costume designer Tom Scutt, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, and more talented professionals.
