NBC Renews ‘Happy’s Place’ for Season 2

NBC has officially renewed its multi-camera sitcom, “Happy’s Place,” for a second season, starring the iconic Reba McEntire. The series, which has been a hit for the network, follows the story of Bobbie, played by McEntire, who inherits her late father’s tavern called Happy’s Place and discovers a surprising new business partner in her previously unknown half-sister, Isabella, portrayed by Belissa Escobedo.

The renewal of “Happy’s Place” was somewhat expected, given the network’s prior show of faith when they ordered five additional episodes back in November, bringing the season’s total to 18 episodes. The show has been performing consistently well on Friday nights, drawing an average of 3.38 million same-day viewers, an impressive 54 percent increase year-over-year. Additionally, the show sees a boost of about 1.3 million viewers with a week of delayed viewing, not counting streaming numbers.

Although specific figures for “Happy’s Place” on NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock, are not available, the network has attested to its success, ranking as the streamer’s second-biggest comedy debut, following in the footsteps of fellow comedy “St. Denis Medical.” The pilot episode, which aired in October, has amassed a total viewership of 17.6 million across all platforms, indicating its growing popularity among audiences.

In addition to Reba McEntire’s leading role, the show features a talented ensemble cast including Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. “Happy’s Place” was created by Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott, with Kevin Abbott serving as the showrunner and executive producer alongside McEntire, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman.

With its engaging storyline, strong performances, and positive viewer response, “Happy’s Place” has secured its position in NBC’s lineup for the 2025-26 season, aligning itself with the network’s commitment to delivering high-quality comedy content to its audience. Stay tuned for more heartwarming moments and comedic antics as “Happy’s Place” continues to entertain viewers with its unique blend of humor and heart.
