Lipton Hard Iced Tea is gearing up for its 2025 Groundhog Day festivities in a big way. They have created a larger-than-life “Can Daddy” groundhog statue standing at nine feet tall, made from 6,000 cans of Lipton Hard Ice Tea’s Citrus Green Tea flavor. Fans who are 21 and older can catch a glimpse of “Can Daddy” in person and enjoy free drink samples at various locations in Pennsylvania, where Punxsutawney Phil resides. The statue will be on display at The Curry Hollow Shopping Center in Pittsburgh on Friday, January 31, and at the corner of Maple St. & Willow Ave. in Indiana, Pennsylvania on Saturday, February 1.
For those unable to visit “Can Daddy” in person, they can still participate in the festivities by entering Lipton Hard Iced Tea’s Groundhog Day Flyaway vacation sweepstakes. Participants have the chance to win $5,000 towards a warm-weather vacation for themselves and a guest by entering on the Lipton Hard Iced Tea website before the end of Groundhog Day.
Additionally, fans can enter to win the “Can Daddy” statue by visiting @liptonhardtea on Instagram and commenting “Groundhog.” As part of the celebrations, Chunk the Groundhog, America’s beloved internet-famous groundhog, will reveal his favorite Lipton Hard Iced Tea flavor among Lemon, Strawberry, Peach, or Citrus Green Tea.
