Kevin Beggs, known for his role as the Lionsgate Television Group chair and chief creative officer, has recently been appointed as the new chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. This prestigious position places him at the helm of the organizer of the International Emmy Awards, which celebrates excellence in television produced outside of the U.S. market through a grand awards gala held in New York City every November.
Beggs takes over from Fred Cohen, the outgoing chairman, who will transition to the role of foundation chairman and executive committee member. Stepping up from his previous position as treasurer at the International Academy, Bruce Tuchman will now fill Beggs’ previous role as the secretary.
