Us Weekly has verified that Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, have approached a judge requesting a stronger protective order than the initial one granted when the legal proceedings commenced. Lively is specifically asking for enhanced protections due to the violent and threatening communications received by her family, cast members, fact witnesses, and supporters since the controversy began.
The lawsuit was initiated by the actress against Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of their film that premiered in the summer of the same year. In response, Baldoni refuted the allegations and counter-sued Lively and Reynolds for defamation. The couple, married since 2012, vehemently denied Baldoni’s claims. The trial date has been scheduled for March 2026.
