Regretful Remark: Bart Johnson Apologizes for Criticism of Justin Baldoni in English

Blake Lively’s brother-in-law, Bart Johnson, recently took to social media to apologize for any unkind comments he has made in the past. This comes after he defended Blake amid her legal drama with Justin Baldoni.

In a post on X, Johnson shared a throwback photo from his time on the set of High School Musical. He responded to a comment asking about his past tweets related to Baldoni by stating that his comments were not directed at any specific individual but rather at a certain type of behavior that he finds performative and disingenuous.

Johnson went on to apologize for his past behavior on social media, acknowledging that he regrets any unkind remarks he may have made. He expressed his commitment to uplifting and supporting others, stating that criticism is not his focus.

This apology from Johnson comes after he previously voiced support for Blake during her lawsuit against Baldoni. In December 2024, Blake filed paperwork accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment during their collaboration on It Ends With Us. Johnson defended Blake’s actions, emphasizing that her complaints were filed during filming and were not a result of public conflict.

Baldoni’s legal counsel has refuted Lively’s claims, calling them false and salacious. Baldoni has since launched a lawsuit against The New York Times for their coverage of the accusations. Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist Leslie Sloane are also facing a lawsuit from Baldoni, alleging civil extortion and defamation.

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni is ongoing, with a trial set to begin on March 9, 2026. Despite the public disputes, Lively’s legal team maintains that the focus should remain on the evidence of sexual harassment and not on attempts to shift the narrative.
