Executive Order: Ending Illegal Discrimination in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policies

Section 1: Purpose

President’s duty to enforce civil-rights laws protecting Americans from discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Section 2: Policy

Directive for all executive departments and agencies to terminate discriminatory and illegal DEI policies and enforce civil-rights laws.

Section 3: Terminating Illegal Discrimination in the Federal Government

Revoking executive actions promoting DEI policies and streamlining the Federal contracting process to comply with civil-rights laws.

Section 4: Encouraging the Private Sector to End Illegal Discrimination

Agencies to advance individual initiative, excellence, and hard work in the private sector and submitting a report on enforcing civil-rights laws.

Section 5: Other Actions

Guidance issued to educational agencies and institutions to comply with court rulings on fair admissions practices.

Section 6: Severability

If any provision is held invalid, the remainder of the order remains unaffected.

Section 7: Scope

Order exempts lawful preferences for veterans and protects First Amendment rights.

Section 8: General Provisions

Order to be implemented consistent with applicable law and does not create enforceable rights against the United States.
