Allison Holker, a former contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance,” recently opened up about the death of her late husband, Stephen tWitch Boss, in her new book “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.” According to Holker, Boss struggled with “trauma and abandonment issues” from childhood, and the couple’s social media presence may have added stress before Boss tragically died by suicide at the age of 40 in December 2022.
In the months leading up to his death, Holker noted that Boss had more time to dwell on his inner struggles after his job on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” ended in May 2022. She mentioned signs that she may have missed, including irritability, insomnia, weight loss, lack of energy, disinterest in work and friends, as well as changes in personal hygiene. Reflecting on her husband’s role as a protector, Holker expressed her commitment to carrying on his legacy.
