All You Need to Know About O.J. Simpson’s Estate Lawsuit Against His Son for House Inheritance

Justin Simpson, the son of O.J. Simpson, is currently facing a lawsuit from his late father’s estate regarding the ownership of his Las Vegas home. O.J. Simpson, who passed away in April 2024, lived in a 2,900-square-foot property on Arbour Garden Avenue that was purchased by Justin’s company, Primary Holdings, in 2022 for $795,000.

After O.J.’s death, Justin moved into the house and is reportedly refusing to vacate or reimburse O.J.’s estate for the funds the former NFL player invested in the property. The estate is now seeking payment from Justin or for him to transfer ownership of the house.

The lawsuit claims that O.J. never intended for the house to be separate from his estate and alleges that Justin was aware that O.J. was the intended owner of the property, with Primary Holdings being the owner on paper. Despite this, O.J. continued to make payments on the house until his passing.

As the sole owner of Primary Holdings, Justin technically owns the property, although he did not reside in the house while O.J. was alive and his father continued to make payments. Now that O.J. is deceased, Justin lives in the house full-time and refuses to leave.

The legal battle over the house stems from Justin’s purchase of the property as a means to shield his father from creditors seeking repayment for debts owed to the IRS and the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. After O.J. was acquitted of Brown Simpson and Goldman’s murders in 1995, he was later found liable in a civil suit and ordered to pay $33.5 million to their families.

Malcolm LaVergne, the special administrator of O.J.’s estate, has characterized Justin’s actions as “very selfish” and has outlined his demands for Justin to either reimburse the estate for the property or transfer ownership to him.

While LaVergne has been vocal about the situation, Justin has not issued a public statement on the matter. This ongoing controversy has raised questions about the inheritance and ownership of O.J. Simpson’s estate in the aftermath of his passing.
