CBS News has announced that it will comply with a request from the Federal Communications Commission for a “full unedited transcript” and feeds from its interview with Vice President Harris. In a statement, CBS stated that they received a Letter of Inquiry from the FCC, asking for the unedited transcript and camera feeds from the interview that aired on October 7, 2024, and they are working to comply with the inquiry as required by law.
The request comes as the FCC reviews Paramount Global’s planned merger with Skydance Media. However, it also follows President Donald Trump’s $10 million lawsuit against CBS regarding the same interview. Trump has accused the network of editing the interview in an attempt to influence the election in favor of Harris.
