Prince Andrew’s purported messages to Jeffrey Epstein: ‘We’ll continue playing’

New Court Documents Reveal Prince Andrew’s Extended Contact with Jeffrey Epstein

Newly disclosed court documents have shed light on Prince Andrew’s ongoing communication with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, contradicting his earlier statements. The documents, as reported by multiple outlets such as Bloomberg and BBC News, include email exchanges between Epstein and a member of the royal family, believed to be Andrew. In one email from February 2011, the royal expressed eagerness to “play some more soon!!!” with Epstein, indicating continued contact beyond what Andrew had previously admitted.

Another email from June 2010 showed Epstein asking the royal to show “jes” around with “vera,” prompting the royal to inquire about Vera. Epstein then clarified that Vera was his future ex-wife, showing a level of familiarity between the two.

These emails were uncovered during a court case involving the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and banker Jes Staley, who faced allegations of non-disclosure regarding his relationship with Epstein. The court proceedings revealed emails between Staley and Epstein, as well as emails between Epstein and the unnamed British royal believed to be Andrew.

The revelations from the court documents challenge Andrew’s previous claims made during an interview on Newsnight in 2019, where he discussed his friendship with Epstein. Despite stating that he only saw Epstein once after his conviction and did not speak to him again, the newly disclosed emails suggest ongoing communication.

Further scrutiny arose from Virginia Giuffre’s accusations of sexual assault by Andrew on Epstein’s property, which he vehemently denied, claiming no recollection of ever meeting her. However, in February 2022, Andrew reached a settlement with Giuffre for an undisclosed sum.

Following public backlash from the Newsnight interview, Andrew decided to step down from his official duties in 2019, acknowledging the negative impact of his association with Epstein on his family and charitable work. Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the recent revelations.

The disclosed court documents highlight a more extended and ongoing connection between Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein than previously acknowledged, raising questions about the nature of their relationship and the prince’s initial statements denying further contact.
