Tate McRae’s Album Release Event in L.A. Attracts Huge Audience

Pop sensation Tate McRae electrified fans at the Kia Forum with a star-studded release event for her latest album, “So Close to What.”

The event, held in the parking lot of the Inglewood arena, was a dream come true for McRae devotees. Attendees were treated to a plethora of activities, including photo ops, outfit displays, food trucks, and freebie booths from sponsors such as American Express, Adidas, and Neutrogena.

Fans, many donning McRae-inspired ensembles, had the unique opportunity to purchase tickets for $8 through Ticketmaster, with all proceeds going to FireAid to support L.A. wildfire relief efforts. For those unable to attend in person, the event was also live-streamed on TikTok.

McRae took the stage at 9 p.m., coinciding with the album release, and wowed the crowd with performances of her recent singles “Sports car” and “It’s OK I’m OK.” The atmosphere was electric, with lights from cranes surrounding the stage adding to the spectacle. The 21-year-old singer engaged with the audience, asking if they wanted to hear new songs.

Debuting several tracks from her latest album, including the single “Revolving Door,” McRae announced the release of a music video for the song that very night. The album’s overarching theme of falling in love again seemed to hint at McRae’s relationship with rapper The Kid LAROI, who is featured on the album.

The night continued with performances of other fan-favorite tracks like “Dear God,” “bloodonmyhands,” “Greenlight,” “You Broke Me First,” and “2 hands,” before McRae closed out the show with her hit single “Greedy.”

Looking ahead, McRae is gearing up for her sold-out “Miss Possessive” tour, consisting of 57 dates and kicking off in Mexico City on March 18. The tour will span cities around the world, culminating in a final show at L.A.’s Kia Forum in November. Fans can find more information about McRae’s tour on her website for updates and ticket sales.

As Tate McRae continues to captivate audiences with her dynamic performances and infectious music, her star is undoubtedly on the rise, solidifying her status as a powerhouse in the music industry.
