Two males had been arrested in Nebraska on Tuesday after capturing and killing a North American bald eagle with the intention of cooking and consuming the protected nationwide chook.
The 2 males had been recognized as Ramio Hernandez-Tziquin and Domingo Zetino-Hernandez, each 20-year-old Honduran nationals residing in Norfolk, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Workplace stated in a press launch.
The duo indicated to authorities that they “deliberate on cooking and consuming the chook,” based on the information launch.
Law enforcement officials responded to a report round 4:00 p.m. of a suspicious car close to the primary Wooden Duck Recreation space, situated about three miles southwest of Stanton.

The automotive was discovered on a subject within the 629-acre wetland and when officers stopped the boys they decided that they had a lifeless North American Bald Eagle of their possession.
“Additional investigation revealed that the 2 had shot and killed the protected nationwide chook in that space and acknowledged they deliberate on cooking and consuming the chook,” the discharge acknowledged.
Nebraska Recreation and Parks was contacted and took custody of the eagle and the rifle used to kill the chook of prey.

Each Hernandez-Tziquin and Zetino-Hernandez had been cited for illegal possession of the eagle.
