A lady was stabbed a number of instances outdoors of a leisure centre along with her buddy after a person thought she was a spy, a courtroom has heard.
Joshua Bowles, 29, has been charged with tried homicide over the incident in Cheltenham final Thursday.
Bowles, of Welwyn Mews, Cheltenham, was not requested to enter a plea throughout a quick look at Westminster Magistrates’ Courtroom this morning.

Kathryn Selby, prosecuting, stated: ‘This was a critical incident of tried homicide, this was a deliberate assault. The defendant has researched the sufferer and her whereabouts believing her to work for GCHQ.
‘He has then travelled to the leisure centre taking with him two knives.
‘He noticed his sufferer enter the centre and waited outdoors. When she got here outdoors with a buddy he has gone as much as her and attacked her with a knife.
‘We imagine he chosen the sufferer as a result of she is a employee for GCHQ and he holds views on the work he believes they conduct there.
‘He attacked her as a result of in his thoughts she represents the state.’
The courtroom heard the girl – who was not named and referred to solely by the code quantity 99230 – was leaving the leisure centre with a buddy when she was attacked.
Mr Bowles researched his sufferer and her whereabouts ‘believing her to work for GCHQ’, Britain’s indicators intelligence and cyber safety company, it was heard.
