City of Dallas Winter Weather Safety Updates

Sanitation Department Update: Thursday Routes Resuming at 10 A.M.
- Thursday garbage and recycling routes will resume at 10 a.m. today. Crews will begin Friday routes if Thursday routes are completed early. Any remaining Friday routes will be serviced tomorrow (Saturday), as conditions allow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Dallas Animal Services (DAS)
- Dallas Animal Services will be closed to the public on Friday, January 10 due to the ongoing inclement weather. They will reopen at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 11 (weather permitting).
Dallas Public Library (DPL)
- Operating on altered schedules due to the forecasted icy conditions. Check website for updated hours.
Dallas Park and Recreation Centers (PKR)
- Operating on modified schedules during inclement weather conditions.
- Friday, January 10: 1:00pm – 7:00pm
- Saturday, January 11: 9:00am – 2:00pm
- The Well Med Senior Activity Center will be closed on January 10.
Office of Community Care & Empowerment (OCC)
- West Dallas Multipurpose Center closed on Friday. MLK Community Center (Building A) will open at 1 pm on Friday. All WIC clinics are closed on Friday.
Planning and Development Department (PDP)
- Closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. City Hall and the Oak Cliff Municipal Center will remain open with limited staffing. Contact information available on the website.
Office of Arts and Culture
- Cultural Centers will be closed all-day Thursday and Friday. Scheduled programming has been canceled.
